Setting the tone

The core of the campaign was about celebrating couples’ musical differences through the Spotify I Duo subscription (because who wants to suffer through their partner’s terrible taste?)

The differences were depicted through a range of illustration styles, which were all held together through a tight selection of colours from the Spotify brand palette.

Transcending genres

A key part of the brief was to celebrate difference by not depicting any stereotypes, either through characters or musical genres.

Collaboration is key

After setting the scene direction & colours, talented illustrator Sacha Bryning was brought on board to bring his unique style to the Cowboy & Space Jones sequence

By the power vested in music

The spot was brought together by a wedding celebrant VO and a fresh take on the wedding march. Say I Duo!
